Gloucestershire, UK - Winchcombe Reclamation exported a reclaimed timber framed barn, salvaged by the company in 2007, for reconstruction in the Canadian west coast which has been started by a local carpentry team using unfamiliar framing techniques, photographs and plans. The barn will is being rebuilt as a home which will be the oldest building on the west coast of Canada when it is finished.
'We feel that where possible old barns should be kept intact rather than stripped for beams,' writes Winchcombe Rec's blogger.
