London South West, UK - Battersea Decorative is an event not to miss in the antiques fair calendar and exhibits always include a good share of regular Salvo Fair exhibitors plus some Salvo Code architectural salvage dealers.
One such Salvo Code dealer and a regular Salvo Fair exhibitor is Guy Trench, Antiques By Design. Guy has become the 'go to' reclamation dealer for innovative upcycling. He always keeps ahead of the curve, which is why he is sought out by top interior designers and celebrities alike. I even spotted style icon, David Beckham last year tempted by one of Guy's upcycled football lamps.
The new look especially for Battersea Decorative for the Antiques By Design stand is a reclaimed ski lodge. The timber walls were old Dutch cheese boards now upcycled into a great look. This makes a cool background for the fab ski related lighting. Guy does not miss a trick either and you could even own a sledge used for an Artic expedition. Plus find many other examples of unique upcylcing such as a table made from an old waggon wheel to a classic upcycling favourite of beautiful mirrors made from reclaimed European windows. All Guy's upcycled pieces are well made to last and bring a talking point past life story to any home, hotel, restaurant or retail store.
Other Salvo Fair and or Salvo Code architectural, decorative, antique and architectural salvage regulars to look out for are Gary L. Wallis, La Place Antiques, Nicholas Gifford-Mead, Nikki Page Antiques, No.1 Lewes and the Antique French Chair & Sofa Co.
The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair, Winter 2017 is at Battersea Park, London from 24th to 29th January. See the website link for opening times and more information.
