Oxfordshire, UK - Gary Wallis is a regular exhibitor at the annual Salvo fair and his pitch always has a diverse selection of wares. His real passion for the salvation, restoration and the preservation of history is an immediate pull to attract potential customers.

So it was good to read some his thoughts on the current antiques trade in the Antiques Trade Gazette feature, Five questions this week. He mentions his love of the sourcing side of the business and enjoys interaction with a client especially with a project in mind. Like other dealers he mentions the evolving market from shops to alternative trading options. Gary himself now trades from a 4,000 square foot warehouse and at well chosen fairs. Apart from Salvo he is also is also a regular exhibitor at the Battersea Decorative Fairs.

If you are searching for anything from a nostalgic childhood collectable to a potential heirloom he is happy to help. He also upcycles interesting elements for interiors and exteriors, for those who desire individual character.

Gary adds that despite thirty years of experience he continues to learn something new everyday.

The images show Gary at his showroom, view by appointment, in Henley on Thames and at previous Salvo fairs.
