Salvo Fair 2016: January round up

By Ruby Hazael

Exhibitors booked for Salvo Fair 2016 include (from top left clockwise) Cronin's Reclamation, Nikki Page Antiques, Insitu Architectural Antiques and The Old Radiator Company

Oxfordshire, UK - A new layout and theme for Salvo Fair 2016 has jazzed up a dull January for those looking forward to the summer salvage fairs. Salvo Fair stalwarts such as The Old Radiator Company, Architectural Salvage Source, Insitu Architectural Antiques, The Architectural Forum and Cronin's Reclamation are all booked to exhibit in the prestigious zone surrounding a cluster of thirty cast iron columns, Ironhenge, rescued from St Pancras Station by Sir William McAlpine of Fawley Hill.

The Avenue will be a jam packed with stands selling architectural, garden, industrial, decorative, antiques, salvage, and reclaimed materials. Well established businesses Mongers of Hingham, Cox's Yard, Antique Church Furnishings, Paul's Emporium, Nikki Page Antiques, The French Chair Company, MetroRetro, Molly and Maud's Place, Amorosa, La Chineuse and Vintage City are included in those booked to exhibit in the Avenue.

The Market area will include salvage, antiques, retro, vintage, upcycled, makers and craftpeople. There will be a large stand by Ed Wood, maker of furniture from salvaged wood, and Sugden and Daughters who sell antique and upcycled furniture and homeware.

The 'Hats off to Women' theme has sparked interest from all areas of the trade. Salvo Fair's current 2016 exhibitors Louise Coster, Jitka Devaux, Louisa Sugden, Nikki Page, Fiona Triplow, Lou Cronin, Chloe and Karen Rymer are paving the way for businesses owned, managed and helped along by wonderful women to come and join in.

A relaxed programme of events is taking shape for 'Hats off to Women' which aims to promote reuse, encourage networking and gives consideration to women working with salvage and reclamation. Salvo would love to hear from those interested in taking part.

There are a few days left to get twenty five percent discount on a pitch at Salvo Fair. Exhibitors need to book and pay before the end of January to qualify.

A booking form can be downloaded from the website.
