Norfolk, UK - Second highest lot at Gaze's architectural salvage sale last Saturday was a 10ft high broken pedimented stone door surround with three-quarters engaged Tuscan columns complete with a six panel moulded raised and fielded front door with fanlight, which made 3,200 hammer price. The doorcase was one of the items seen in photos on Gaze's desk at the Salvo Fair where the auctioneering firm was one of the main sponsors.

In what appeared a reduced field of reclaimed building materials, York stone flagstones ruled the roost, with the top lot of the sale being 35.82sqyds from an east Yorkshire church fetching 4,300.
