London South West, UK - Last night, Hilary Chelminski's Neo-Classical Sculpture Exhibition began in the galleries on the Kings Road packed with people and masterworks. Marbles were still being hauled in through the door two minutes before the opening. Michael Portillo arrived to open the exhibition shortly after. With vocal support from Peter Hone, Mr Portillo spoke about the fine collection Hilary Chelminski had brought together and how it was a wonderful celebration of 'true style'. A huge urn filled with bottles of bubbly resting on ice and platters of smoked salmon being passed around ensured a successful start to the exhibition and created the perfect backdrop for grand and noble sculpture.

The exhibition is on until 26th October 2002 at 616 King's Road, London, SW6 2DU. Tel: 020 7384 2227.
