Camden horses gallop away to £40k at Summers Place live auction

West Sussex, UK - The live auction at Summers Place had a drove of bronze canal working horses from Camden Lock, London, erected in the early 1990s in homage to the Victorian ponies and a nearby horse hospital, removed during building redevelopment. Among the lots were two 12ft high horse heads by an unknown sculptor, estimated at £15k-£25k, which sold to become top lots at today's sale at £35,000 and £40,000.
