Oxfordshire, UK - This summer Salvo Fair will incorporate an exhibition called 'Tiny Salvaged Spaces' which will feature antique summerhouses, vintage showman's wagons, old shepherds huts and reclaimed sheds. The exhibition will form the theme for Salvo Fair with green building architects and consultants on hand to discuss renovations and permanent garden cabin structures and, it is hoped, a book signing for 'Woman's Shed' by Gill Heriz. Salvo is looking for dealers or makers who have summerhouses, shepherds huts, living wagons or reclaimed sheds that would like to exhibit them at Salvo Fair, Henley-on-Thames on 26-28 June.

All the 'Tiny Salvaged Spaces' in the exhibition are for sale by dealers and makers. Plans are afoot to bring along a recently restored delightful small green painted Victorian showman's wagon from Cronin's Reclamation, an antique revolving summerhouse from Architectural Salvage Source and a large fully fitted out and restored showman's wagon with kitchen and shower room from Vintage & Architectural. Julian Chambers from Elham Antiques is currently making a summerhouse from an Victorian wooden porch and Lynda North hopes to bring a beautiful old shepherds hut. A west country dealer is currently finishing off the conversion of an old railway cargo truck with charming metal studded walls, renovated with windows, french doors and oak flooring, which may make an appearance at Salvo Fair, if not sold before.

There has been a massive international interest in the small spaces for living, relaxing and holidaying. 'Tiny Houses' are huge in the US. George Clarke's Amazing Spaces and TV Shed of the Year are all part of the growing trend. Many famous writers have had their sheds in exhibitions such as Dylan Thomas and George Bernard Shaw. And top designers are also embracing the garden hideaway with projects such as the Sir Terence Conran's Wish List and Paul Smith's collaboration with maker Nathalie de Leval to create his definitive garden shed, not to mention London reclamation designers Retrouvius with their garden cabin for Radio DJ George Lamb's London home.

Any dealers or makers with an unrestored or restored wagon, summerhouse, shed, garden cabin, hut or the same newly made incorporating reclaimed material, that would like to be a part of 'Tiny Salvaged Spaces' at Salvo Fair, please call Salvo.
