Berkshire, UK - Gary Wallis, the Henley-based decorative antique dealer and exhibitor at Salvo Fair and Battersea Decorative Fair is organising a Spring auction with Wellers Auctioneers at Worleys Farm.
The 800 lot sale includes 200 lots of garden statuary, planters, benches and urns, an 8ft garden seat from the Aspinals private club London frequented by Lord Lucan and a twice life size torso of Neptune with forearm and trident by Miles Challis, the acclaimed garden designer. There is also a life size carved marble statue of a classical semiclad maiden, several architectural mirrored panels, metalware gates, cast iron statues and urns.
Many lots come from the contents of a Manchester diner and night club including bespoke lighting and chandeliers, a collection mirrors, enamel signs and advertising.
There are also pieces from a Chateau in Beaucourt, France, the former residence of the French aristocrat Andre Japy, the famous socialite and pilot. Lots include several French farmhouse tables, a 14ft extending dining table, armoires, the contents of a gentleman's library and study, haberdashery cabinets and prep tables.
A vast collection of vintage trunks will be for sale from a former theatrical store, of which items featured in many movie classics such as Titanic. Among the collectables are vintage motorcycles including a Harley Davidson and screen used props like a jacket used by Brad Pitt in the film Fury.
