5 important ancient bricks discovered in China

By Thornton Kay

China - Shaanxi Province, China - Bricks discovered by an archeologist in China have proved that the Chinese were making bricks more between 1,000 and 2,000 years earlier than previously thought.

2,300 square metres of ground were excavated before a new highway was to be built. The five bricks were discovered in an ash-pit, and are believed to be 5,000 - 7,000 years old. The oldest bricks are from the Middle East and date back 10,000 years.
